There are many versions of this word-nerd – let’s stick with three: hyphenated, humble and humbug.

Humble: Author? Those people who lived on the book shelves in the libraries through childhood, lit her dreams, noisily took over her brain and have nested there ever since? Nay, she couldn’t call herself one, even at her most humbug!
Storyteller…
That is enough to reach in a lifetime, she thinks. That, someday, a little child would pull out a spine from a wooden shelf in a silent room stacked row upon row with other miracle makers…and be transported.
My first memory is of dad telling me a bedtime story. Words are my beginning and being.
